A physical map of Guyana.
Guyana is a small republic on the northern coast of South America. It borders Venezuela to the west, Brazil to the south, and Suriname to the east. Guyana has a large Hindu population. Guyana was once a British colony, so English is spoken there.
Though it is distant from islands in the Caribbean like Jamaica or Barbados the culture is essentially the same.
