The British Virgin Islands are a series of Caribbean islands with a population of under 40,000. The area has a pleasant climate and many sandy beeches. Tourism and offshore finance dominates the economy. The inhabitants have United Kingdom and European Union citizenship and have limited self government. [1][2]
