Antifa is an American left-wing protest group formed to combat the alt-right. The word "Antifa" is composed of the words "Anti" and "Fascism" and as such they fight against fascism. The movement is male-dominated, although women have also engaged in these activities [1] .

During Donald Trump's inauguration in January 2017, Antifa took to the streets protesting and reportedly "smashed windows" and "burned cars" resulting in 200 arrests. Not all members of this group are violent. Some members have "doxxed" (posting personal info of someone without their permission) members of hate-groups through the Internet.

Anti-Fascist groups similar to Antifa have been around since the 1920s, such as Antifaschistische Aktion in Germany. Kyle Kulinski uploaded a video reading a Washington Examiner article where Noam Chomsky described Antifa as a "gift to the Right".
